Visit the most famous bullring in Spain, Las Ventas

  1 Valoraciones.

Las Ventas is the name given to the bullring in Madrid because that's the name of the area where it is located. It is the largest bullring in Spain and the third place in the world with more capacity, behind Mexico and Valencia (Venezuela).

The arena of Las Ventas is the second largest in the world in terms of diameter, with 60 meters, behind that of Ronda. Since 1994, the bullring of Las Ventas has been considered a "building of cultural interest with a historical-artistic monument category".

The Bullfighting Museum of Madrid was inaugurated on May 15, 1951, by the Provincial Council coinciding with the feast of San Isidro Labrador, patron of the city. The chapel, the bullfighters' room, the corrals, the infirmary, the slaughterhouse and the offices of the Taurine Affairs Center of the Community of Madrid as well as those of the management company, complete the facilities of the bullring.

It also has three cultural rooms: the Antonio Bienvenida Room, the Antoñete Room and the Cossío Room, which also houses a library with more than 2,000 volumes. In them, they take place exhibitions and informative acts throughout the season.
